The Chick-fil-a located in Owings Mills understands students’ budgets. Every Monday from 5 until 7 p.m., Chick-fil-a has a discount for Stevenson University students. Purchase one large drink and one large fry to receive a free eight-count nugget or Original Chick-fil-a Sandwich. The AMF Bowling alley on Reisterstown Road is no stranger to college students looking for a fun night out with friends. AMF has begun to offer $2 Tuesdays. Every Tuesday after 8 p.m., bowlers can enjoy unlimited $2 games, $2 shoe rentals, and $2 pizza slices. AMF holds many other discount nights. Another chance for students to utilize what the area has to offer occurs at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The aquarium holds “Half-Price Friday Nights” sponsored by M&T Bank. After 5 p.m. every Friday, the National Aquarium offers a discounted ticket of $19.95 to see its more than 20,000 animal residents including a large variety of fish, reptiles, jellyfish, and birds. The regular adult entry fee is $39.95, so half-price Friday night is a great way to experience this attraction at a more affordable price. Though the Orioles season is winding down, Upper Reserve student tickets are still available for $6 on Friday nights at Camden Yard. The supply is limited, though, and the Orioles front office doesn’t disclose how many tickets are available on any given Friday night, so show up early and check the Orioles Twitter feed for sales information.
