A beautiful day for lacrosse, for a beautiful cause.

Day two of the Callum Robinson Mustang Classic gave teams, coaches, family, & fans five thrilling games as the day went on. One main cause still remained, to play for the late Callum & his brother Jake, along with the foundation created in their honor. As games went on throughout the day, the foundation had a table set up with Callum’s jersey’s, a cut out of Callum, stickers and information about the foundation and its causes. 2015 Stevenson lacrosse player and alum Josh Ruffalo who played with Callum shared his thoughts.

“Words can’t describe it because Callum perfectly exemplifies what this tournament is, which is the biggest tournament in all of division three and college lacrosse. He was probably the biggest defender in all of division three lacrosse, but also was somebody that had a huge personality, loved lacrosse, loved Stevenson, so for him and Jake to be honored here is very fitting. Callum was six foot four and 220 pound so he was a dominant force on the field.”

Ruffalo’s message to current players & the community.

Ruffalo had one final message to guys playing lacrosse currently and shared his thoughts. “The biggest thing, you know, we tell the existing players is, you know, go out there, try your best, have fun, but at the end of the day you know as alumni we look at this tournament and we expect people to win, no pressure, but at the same time, that’s the biggest thing to take away.”

The foundation continued to express to the division three lacrosse community to follow the foundation on Instagram and spread the word about the causes along with urging the community to find out how you can help your community.

Who’s up for some more lacrosse?
