A Guide to Stevenson’s Homecoming 2022 Festivities

The Homecoming Football Game is one of the biggest events at Stevenson, but there are plenty of other exciting activities going on the week of Oct. 17-22 in addition to the game.

Monday Oct. 17

Student Activities will be holding a “Stuff-a-Stang” event upstairs in Rockland. Students will have the opportunity to stuff their own mustang plush from 12-1 p.m. while supplies last.

Homecoming tickets are also available to students starting on Monday. Tickets can be picked up in the Student Activities office, upstairs in Rockland, from 10-4 p.m. Students can show their Stevenson ID for one free ticket, until tickets run out.

Tuesday Oct. 18

MAP is hosting #SUisHome Spirit Night at 6:30 p.m. on the Pandini’s Patio. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes during Stevenson trivia and decorate a poster for Saturday’s football game. Pizza will be served at the event.

Thursday Oct. 20

The Homecoming Bonfire will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Rockland parking lot. There will be s’mores and other snacks, music, games, and more. The event is being held by the Senior Class Council.

Friday Oct. 21

MAP will be hosting the Homecoming Carnival from 2-5 p.m. in the apartment quad. There will be outdoor games, prizes, food, axe throwing, and rock climbing.

The Junior Class Council is hosting Haunted Hallways from 8-10 p.m. Rockland will be transformed into a haunted hospital with spooky decorations and members of different clubs will dress up and scare those brave enough to attend.

Saturday Oct. 22

The Sophomore Class Council is hosting the Homecoming Tailgate from 9-11:30 a.m. The event will take place on the North Campus in the South parking lot. There will be food, games, a performance from the marching band, and more.

The Homecoming Football Game verses FDU-Florham will take place at 12 p.m. at Mustang Stadium on the main campus.

MAP is hosting a Homecoming Block party from 2-5:30 p.m. in the apartment quad. There will be games, food trucks, and the announcement of the 2022 Homecoming Royal Court.

SGA and W.O.R.T.H. are hosting a Silent Party in Rockland Banquet from 9 p.m.-12 a.m. Students can sign up for the event on the event flier on the portal. The event is free and open to a limited number of non-Stevenson guests. There will be a 360 photobooth and headphones will be provided.

Students can pick up their football ticket in Student Activities this week until tickets run out.
