Stevenson University has a busy weekend in sports ahead! Here is a look into what is happening in Mustangs athletics this weekend starting Friday, November 18!

Stevenson Football heads to Homewood field in Baltimore, Maryland this Saturday to take on Johns Hopkins University in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series. The Mustangs, seeded at No. 2, punched their ticket to the bowl after going 8-2 in the regular season with a 6-2 Middle Atlantic Conference record. The Blue Jays, seeded at No. 1 for the Centennial Conference, got an invite after finishing their season with a record of 9-1 (8-1 in conference). The Mustangs are going into this game full throttle as they look to get their first win against the blue jays in 3 years.

The Stevenson men’s ice hockey team is on the road this weekend as they play Manhattanville University this Friday at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. With a current record of 3-3-0, the Mustangs look to increase their current two-game win streak by defeating Manhattanville.

The Stevenson women’s ice hockey team is off to a great start with an overall record of 4-2-0 and a conference record of 2-0. They travel this weekend to New York to play Utica University (3-1-1) on Friday at 4 p.m. and again on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Heading into the weekend with a 2-game winning streak, all looks promising for a highly-talented team in what is expected to be a highly-promising season.

Cross Country

There are big things for Stevenson’s cross-country team, especially if your name is Isabelle Pardew! Pardew, who holds the university’s 10m000m run record (time of 38:10:51) made a name for herself after finishing fourth overall at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships, hosted by Lock Haven University. She became the second female Mustang in program history (Emily Gates – 2019) to qualify for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Earlier this season Pardew also received a reward for All-MAC First Team.

Both the men’s and women’s cross-country teams will head to Lansing, Michigan this weekend. The women’s team will compete in the NCAA DII XC National Championship.

Below is a composite schedule of what is happening in Stevenson Athletics this weekend! Be sure to go out and support your Mustang athletes if you can!
