Fall brings holidays like Halloween, events like Sunday night football and tons of treats. Below are three easy-to-make fall recipes that are sure to warm the palate with spice fit for the season.

Ingredients:

¼ tbsp. cinnamon

¼ tbsp. sugar

¼ cup milk

3 eggs

¼ tbsp. melted butter

4 slices of white bread

Directions:

  1. Mix together dry ingredients into a small bowl.
  2. Crack eggs into separate mixing bowl.
  3. Add milk and melted butter to eggs and mix.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet mix and stir until completely mixed.
  5. Heat frying pan on medium.
  6. When pan is hot, take one slice of bread and dip both sides into mixture and place in pan.
  7. Fry bread, flipping occasionally. Bread should be golden brown on both sides when done.

Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all bread is fried

Toppings including syrup, butter, powdered sugar or a choice of drizzle can be added for enhanced flavor. Fresh fruit will complement this dish well. This fall treat is easy-to-make and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.

PUMPKIN SPICE RICE KRISPIE TREATS

This next recipe is pumpkin spice rice krispie treats. The dish uses simple ingredients to create a crispy, decorative, warm and sweet fall snack. This recipe does call for some prepping, but still will not take long to make.

Ingredients:

¼ cup unsalted butter

10oz bag marshmallows

1 box (3.4oz) pumpkin spice instant pudding mix

5 cup rice krispies cereal

1 cup white chocolate, melted

Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil. Grease the foil with butter. Set aside.
  2. In large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add in marshmallows and stir constantly until melted (use lower heat to low-medium).
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in pudding mix.
  4. Fold in cereal.
  5. Pour mixture into buttered foil pan.
  6. Press treats into pan (but not too hard because they will dry out).
  7. Spread melted white chocolate over top of treats and sprinkle immediately with sprinkles.
  8. Allow to set about 1 hour. Cut and serve.

If white chocolate is not preferable, milk and dark chocolate will still work as well.

APPLE PIE PUNCH

The last treat is apple pie punch. This beverage is a party favorite and can be served warm or cold. The recipe takes about five minutes and serves up to eight.
