Rebel Wilson stars as a carefree businesswoman embracing the single life to her fullest potential. She wakes up, goes to work,

parties, sleeps and repeats. If you think she sounds like a handful, you are correct. Wilson does not disappoint in her role as Robin. Her hilarious nature comes alive to represent an outgoing, rebellious and yet sensitive character in the film.

Robin gets by with a little help from her recently single sidekick, Alice, played by Alison Brie. Alice’s heartache lingers until she meets Robin, who opens her eyes to a new and vivacious lifestyle. Their hilarious journey evolves as they teach each other a thing or two about life. Robin’s boisterous personality combined with Alice’s dainty appearance creates a hilarious and dysfunctional dynamic duo.

“How to Be Single” masterfully brings together two genres, comedy and romance, to add a special wow factor to the movie. The trailer leads viewers to believe that the movie is pure comedy, but prepare to be awestruck. “How to Be Single” can trigger an emotional reaction from the movie’s twists and turns that adds charm and appeal. Director Christian Ditter outdoes himself, leaving viewers hopeful for a “How to Be Single 2.”

Valerie Demateo, an avid movie goer and a junior at Stevenson University, said that “How to Be Single” was a great movie. “It was not what I expected, but nonetheless it was a great film because of the turn of events and moral of the story,” she added.

This hilarious movie is a perfect date-night film, girls’ night out or spur-of-the-moment trip. “How to Be Single” is a rare movie that tells a story by combining comedy with romance in a way that has never been done before. The spectacular comedic writing has you laughing during the entire movie, and yes, I really mean the entire movie. “How to Be Single” is in theaters now. You will not want miss out on the fun.
