Hungry? Thirsty? Game’s on? Where do you go? How about Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar? The door may say “Gourmet Pizza,” but this restaurant offers so much more. Boston’s has something for everyone: pizzas, pastas, calzones, wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and even a small seafood selection.

Boston’s is a Canadian-founded restaurant that opened its second Maryland location just over a year ago in Abingdon. It offers two completely different concepts under one roof: a sports bar and family dining restaurant. So, whether you’re watching the game with friends or out for a family dinner, like their slogan says, they’ve “gotcha covered.”

Upon entering the restaurant, guests are offered the choice of dining room, lounge, or patio seating. Regardless of where you sit, you’re guaranteed a variety of food, and entertainment from the dozens of surrounding televisions. It is completely your choice whether you are looking for a traditional dining experience or a bar atmosphere.

Either way, Boston’s does not disappoint. This isn’t surprising given that most of the dishes are made from fresh ingredients. For example, the Pizza Flight appetizer offers you the opportunity to sample three of Boston’s signature pizzas, all featuring hand-pressed, made-from-scratch dough, fresh vegetables, cheeses, delicious sauces, and the finest meats. The Deluxe, Florentine, and Flying Buffalo pizzas are flavorful and satisfying.

When it comes to entrees, there is a wide selection to satisfy even the pickiest eater. In addition to the heartier food options, Boston’s also offers “healthy hits” that are under 650 calories. One of the “healthy hits” that is particularly delicious is the Chicken and Broccoli entrée, which is a grilled 6-ounce chicken breast served with broccoli and made with Florentine rice.

As delicious as the entrees are, the desserts are even better. Make sure to save room for the Hot Brandy Cream Pie, a delicious, warm vanilla pound cake drizzled with Ghirardelli chocolate sauce and melted brandy butter.

Swing by 3459 Merchant Boulevard, Abingdon, Md., for great service, atmosphere, and food. Boston’s is open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and until 1 a.m. Friday through Saturday.
