The School of Design at Stevenson University will host its annual student Internship Showcase in the School of Design on April 26 from 2-4 p.m. This event highlights student success in their internships during the spring 2019 academic year and all are welcome to attend the showcase.
The event is free and open to the public. At the showcase guests will be able to view students’ accomplishments. Selected students will have the opportunity to share their internship experiences through poster presentations, and an employer panel will discuss information about internships. Following that, there will be a student-led panel about their experiences working an internship. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Students who attend this event will have the opportunity to network directly with internship directors, in addition to gaining insight from their peers about what it is like to work at an internship.
Students involved in this event have spent time preparing for the showcase, having completed all their requirements for their internships. Additionally, they have created posters to display their work and practiced their speeches in front of their peers and received feedback on their presentations.
Sonya Lawyer, assistant professor design and internship director for School of Design, regards this event as a “celebration” for students. She encourages students to attend, since employers and internship supervisors may be present for interested students to seek job and internship opportunities. There will also be a table for creative group placement service for students who are interested in working in creative job fields.
For more information students can reach Lawyer through her Stevenson email. Below is the list of students and the internships they were involved in this year.
