Mustang Activities and Programming, or MAP, at Stevenson University is famous for its unique and popular events around campus. This semester, MAP had more than 25 events planned, nearly 20 of which still remain.

As the third week in the semester comes to a close, students have already had the opportunity to experience a trip around the world with Rockland Blowout, a hypnotizing evening with Eric Mina, and the first night of Team Trivia.

According to Maya Murphy, MAP’s vice president of social media and marketing, the events so far have exceeded the group’s expectations. The bingo event drew over 200 people while Rockland Blowout reined in nearly 300 students for a night of fun.

The much anticipated ski trip (Feb. 17) to Liberty Mountain Resort and the second annual Mystery Trip (Feb. 25) will sell out quickly, so MAP members urge interested participants not to miss ticket sales.

Mustang Activities and Programming advisor Jenna D’Onza says she is excited for some of the new events to be featured this semester, such as Virtual Reality Emotion Matrix, a Washington D.C. trip, and a Foam Party.

The Foam Party is just one of the many events that will be coinciding with VillaFest weekend this spring. The weekend will be kicked off with Bubble Soccer on April 26 in the apartment quad, and Karaoke Night at Pandini’s the following night. The core events of VillaFest will include the Foam Party on April 28, and the ever-popular Food Truck Rally on April 29.

D’Onza predicted the New York Trip to Broadway’s Aladdin (Apr. 21), and the second annual Mystery Trip (Feb. 25) would be popular with Stevenson students. In the latter event, for a $5 refundable fee, students have the opportunity to go to a mystery location not yet revealed. Leading up to the event, clues released to students offer them a chance to guess the destination.
