The Villager staff took some time to reflect on what they’re thankful for as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday.
Grace Clark
I am thankful for my partner in education, Alyssa Dahle, who is my go-to person and study buddy of three years. I am also thankful for our advisor, Chip Rouse, for being an exceptional mentor and professor, as well as all of the business communication faculty for being supportive and inspiring both inside and outside of the classroom.
Tim Craig
I am thankful for the love and support my parents and my three sisters have always given me, and I am looking forward to spending time with all of them during the holidays.
Alyssa Dahle
I am equally thankful for my partner in education, Grace Clark, whose impact on my time at Stevenson and my life is beyond the bounds of words. Likewise, I am thankful for Chip Rouse, who has been not only a professor but a mentor to me, never failing to guide me with her pragmatic wisdom and unwavering support. Last but certainly not least, I am indebted to my boss and now close friend, Jake Quimby, who is my confidant and counterpart in almost every way.
Tyler Didra
I am thankful for my loving family and friends, and for the supportive and inspiring community at Stevenson. I am so thankful for the incredible mentors I have met at this university and for the many people who have helped me become the woman I am today. And I am grateful for this being my last Thanksgiving as a college student—the next great adventure awaits!
Zaria Greene
I am thankful for my dog, Taco. After a hectic day of school and work, going home to him wagging his tail with excitement to see me just melts my heart. It may sound cliché, but it’s true.
Savana Herndon
I am thankful for my family and friends from my hometown. I am looking forward to sitting around the kitchen table with all of them while we eat large amounts of mashed potatoes and macaroni.
Candace Kling
I am thankful for my family and friends who support me and show me so much love in every aspect of my life. I am also thankful for my adorable animals who always greet me when I come home. When life becomes stressful, they are always a comfort for me.
Duona Liu
I am thankful for everyone who cares about me, helps me, and makes me laugh. I am also thankful for everything I have now that I didn’t have before. Life seems better when you are thankful, so live it up!
Wornden Ly
I am thankful for my family and the friends I have made here at Stevenson. I am also thankful for my professors and fellow classmates I have had the chance to meet through my years as a student since the age of five.
Cynthia Marquez
I am thankful for my sister, Claudia, my mom and my dad, my friends, and for brunches with bottomless mimosas!
Tyre Maull
I am thankful for the ability to breathe and for having a happy family.
Maya Murphy
I am thankful for the amazing business communication faculty at Stevenson. They have given me the courage to pursue my dreams and the strength that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. I am also thankful to my roommate of four years and best friend, Sarah Seen. They all have shaped the person I am today.
Andrew Priest
I am thankful for having options. Business communication has given me insights into different opportunities beyond college, but the ability to organize my schedule freely has been fantastic.
Emma Cathy Smith
I am thankful for second chances. My time at Stevenson has given me the opportunity to re-define myself, becoming the woman that my younger self only dreamed of being.
