Stevenson University has many options when it comes to dining or take-out on the Owings Mills campus. Many students know about locations such as Pandini’s, Rockland, and the Garrison Coffee house. But one location that seems to be overlooked by many is Jazzman’s. Located in the Ratcliffe Center and much closer than any Wawa or a Royal Farms, Jazzman’s offers a wide variety of snacks, meals to go, and drinks. And yet students don’t seem to know about this outstanding on-campus option.
Payment is never a problem at Jazzman’s where they accept cash/credit, meal swipes, or flex. But the best part is the options.
From coffee to smoothies, ramen to mac and cheese, and ice cream treats to sushi, Jazzman’s has it all. Junior Colleen Haber discovered Jazzman’s “was a thing” her freshman year. She says that it’s now a regular part of her Stevenson experience and she goes there every day. Haber said that she found Jazzman’s almost by accident when she “used the copy machine next to it freshman year.” Haber states that she usually gets a “crème Brulee hot coffee or an iced coffee,” she said. “But there are many more things besides coffee that I like that are available for a meal swipe at Jazzman’s.”
Lenny Lenahan, another junior who lives on campus, said that he only found Jazzman’s this year. He said that he goes “once every few weeks” to get a “protein shake from the refrigerator.” He found out about Jazzman’s from recommendations by his friends. Lenahan chooses Jazzman’s because “it is close to the dorms and offers a variety of food and drinks.”
Jazzman’s is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The question now is, when are you going to Jazzman’s?
