Stevenson’s student chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) will host a game night as this year’s welcome back event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
The event, located in School of Design, Arts and Communication (SODAC) room 123, will have pizza, Twister, Bop-It, Uno, Tiki Toss and more. Throughout the year, AIGA hosts several types of events. Some themes include design practice and tutorials, themed paint nights, and a portfolio bootcamp for undergraduates.
The club is open to all majors.
“I’m so excited! Everyone loves a game night,” AIGA Treasurer Sydney Gatton said.
The AIGA is a professional organization with college chapters recognized nationally. It offers design certifications and additional resources for education, business, and freelancing. They also have webinars, an educators’ community, and host an annual design conference. Stevenson’s chapter promotes passion for the arts, provides opportunities, and teaches about the power of design.
