“Ten fashion merchandising and fashion design students attended the Coterie NYC and Children’s Club Trade Show in New York City, Feb. 11-14.  During this excursion, students were able to interact with sales representatives, account executives and buyers from fashion, accessory and shoe companies from all over the world, learning about how business is conducted in the apparel industry and gain greater knowledge of the fashion supply chain.

The students were also able to participate in workshops such as ‘Monetizing Instagram’ and ‘Good4Fashion: The Relevance of Recycled and Upcycled Materials’ with industry leaders and influencers such as Caroline Vazzana and Shareen Kohli, Business Development Manager at Matt & Nat.

While in New York, students also toured the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the ‘In Pursuit of Fashion: The Sandy Schreier Collection.’ ”
