The Stevenson stage is alive with song and dance from the classics to modern as the ensemble present a musical theatre revue that opened Feb. 19, and will continue Feb. 21 and 22 at 7 p.m., Feb. 20 at 6 p.m., and Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. Featured composers include Rogers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more. The show includes 17 numbers starring students as well as former faculty member Chris Roberts.
The performance is directed by Ryan Clark, associate professor and program director of theatre and media performance at Stevenson University. Cheryl A. Wilson, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, served as the show’s choreographer; Homeretta Ayala is the musical director; Christopher Crostic, associate professor of theatre and media performance, is the scenic, lighting, and technical director; and Wil Crowther is the costume designer.
