MAC CHAMPS: Stangs Capture THIRD Straight & Fifth in Seven Seasons!

Stevenson Men’s Hockey etched its name in the record books with a commanding 4-1 victory over top-seeded Wilkes, securing the program’s first-ever Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Mustangs wasted no time seizing momentum, as first-year Aiden Lindley struck just two minutes into the game, netting his sixth goal of the season with an impressive solo effort.

Building off Lindley’s early breakthrough, third-year Caden Smith capitalized on a power play less than six minutes later, registering his seventh goal of the year.

Assists came from classmate Blake Benson and fourth-year Evan Beers, marking their eighth and 14th assists of the season, respectively.

Wilkes responded early in the second period, finding the net just over a minute in to cut the deficit in half. However, that would be their only goal of the night.

Stevenson quickly regained control as third-year John Musella capitalized on another Mustang power play, scoring his third goal of the season off assists from Smith and fourth-year Aidan Graham. The points added to Smith’s season tally of 15 and Graham’s 11.

The Mustangs sealed the win late in the third period when Lindley’s long-range flip found the empty net, securing the team’s fourth and final goal of the game.
