Jackie Cooper, a business communication major, is not only known for her bubbly personality, but also for all of her active roles at Stevenson University. Born in Liberia, Jackie is now in her junior year and keeps busy with many extracurricular activities.
She makes regular visits to her high school, Reservoir High, in Fulton, Md., where she shares her insights on college and answers any questions the seniors have about their futures.
Jackie has been a Resident Assistant for the apartments on campus for three semesters, and enjoys the rewarding job of helping her peers when they need it. Jackie is interning with the SU Now web portal, is vice president of the International Student Association and on top of that, she is in the honor society of the National Communication Association, Lambda Pi Eta. She is also the treasurer of a bible study group forming on campus.
When applying to colleges, Stevenson was Jackie’s first choice. Although she applied to six different colleges, when she found out she was accepted at Stevenson, her top pick, she couldn’t have been happier.
She came to Stevenson with an interest in art and still loves to paint in her free time. Jackie is interested in public relations, sales and public speaking, and one day her goal is to write a book. She has a bright future ahead of her.
