“Take me out to the ball game” is a simple phrase but encompasses the energy and desire to seek entertainment amongst the baseball community.  

As college students, we are constantly looking for potential entertainment and fun activities. However, these social outings must be budget-friendly due to the nature of being college students with limited extra funds.  

The Orioles understand these needs and offer reduced ticket prices for high school, college, and graduate students. Students can purchase tickets to any Friday night home game at the Orioles Box Office for only $12. With MLB Opening Day rapidly approaching on March 20, now is the perfect time to start checking your schedule for a Friday where the O’s are home.

When asked about the continuance of the student ticket pricing for the 2024 season, Jared Clayte, an Orioles customer service representative, said, “Yes, we will, as there are currently no plans to discontinue our $12 student nights.”  

Stevenson Student Chloe Kemp took advantage of the discounted pricing during the Orioles 2023 season.   

“It was nice to get off campus and be able to watch a great game while knowing that the outing wasn’t breaking the bank,” Kemp said.  

The Orioles understand the complex financial demographics of their fans and are actively working to cater to them.   

While the student pricing for tickets is based upon availability and is sold in person only and on a first-come, first-served basis, the Orioles are working towards a more cohesive system that will allow a limited selection of students to pre-order tickets online.
