While Stevenson University’s Financial Aid Office does a great job providing students with the financial help they need, many students still find themselves wondering if there are additional opportunities to receive financial aid outside of Stevenson. Fortunately, these types of opportunities are abundant in the form of scholarships and other stipends. Students must be willing to spend a little extra time searching and applying for them, though.

Scholarships from the Coca Cola Scholars Program last year totaled over $3 million for students who applied.

Global corporations such as Coca-Cola, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and many others offer various scholarships annually. Each company has its own set of rules and guidelines that students must follow in order to qualify for the funds, but the process is just like any other application for receiving financial aid. These companies tend to offer scholarships of great value as well. According to collegescholarships.org, Coca-Cola gives out 50 scholarships of $20,000 and 200 scholarships of $10,000 each year.

Fastweb.com is another website that provides students with a chance to learn more about the scholarships that are currently available. Students can create an account on Fastweb which will allow emails to be sent to them about the various scholarships that they are eligible for. Additionally, students will also receive updates when new scholarship opportunities are posted.

Students who are looking for a more unique way to potentially receive financial aid may be interested in the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway. This scholarship allows students to campaign for themselves to gain a following and spread their personal message through social media posts and videos, according to their official website. Students must have a valid Facebook account to participate, though. Dr. Pepper awards four winners $100,000, four winners with $20,000, and eight winners with $2,500.

Of course, there are also opportunities to receive financial aid through the various clubs and organizations on campus. The National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as Phi Sigma Sigma, are just some of the organizations at Stevenson that offer various scholarships and grants, something worth looking into for those who are involved.

For more information about financial aid opportunities, visit Stevenson’s Financial Aid Office. They are more than willing to help students navigate through the process of financing their education.
